Stand Out!!! Aug 09, 2010 I wanted a set of dice for the role playing games I play. I didn't want to settle for the cheap dollar store dice my friends bought. I found these great dice and were delivered to me in no time! They are very durable and have a nice weight to them. They don't chip or break like other dice I've used. My friends were shocked and wanted to know where I got them from. My friends named them "demon dice" for the amazing almost supernatural rolls I've made with them lol.
Ah, The Dreaded Black Die o' Death - Highly Recommended Jul 07, 2010 I have reviewed several other sets of dice we use for gaming, and this isn't even the set I generally use when DM'ing but the d20 in this set has become known as "The Black Die o' Death" due to the uncanny number of time a natural 20 comes up when "needed". My wife eventually developed a deep-seated paranoia when ever I picked up the die and I eventually gifted it to her as a Mother's Day present... after which it promptly mostly rolled only a natural 1 when it really counted. I suspect that this die is what finally broke my garbage disposal unit, but my wife will neither confirm nor deny it at this time.
Chessex makes great dice sets and this one is no exception. We have several of these sets in different colors since each player wants their own for those "life and death" rolls. The set includes:
- One 4 sided (1d4), usually for rolling damage caused by small weapons or minor magic attacks
- One 6 sided (1d6), this is a "normal" die, usually for rolling damage caused by normal weapons
- One 8 sided (1d8), usually for rolling damage cased by larger weapons and more powerful magics
- Two 10 sided (1d10 + "Percentile"), the 1d10 is used like the other dice by itself, but when used with the one marked in "10s" they become "percentile" dice capable of rolling numbers from 01 to 100 (000)
- One 12 sided (1d12), usually used for rolling damaged caused by major attacks
- One 20 sided (1d20), typically the "attack" die used to roll the base number for offensive action
These are good quality and seem to produce random results, with the exception of the d20 as noted above. For those that need "bulk dice", consider Chessex Dice: Pound of Dice (Pound-O-Dice) Approximately 100 Die.
Highly Recommended!

Almost perfect Sep 14, 2008 This is a standard Chessex 7-piece dice set at a good price. The "gold" pips on the black set are dull, muted gold, not shiny metallic. They came in a standard clear acrylic case. The only problem was that one corner of the six-sided die was a little weak (rounded) - probably a flaw in the cast - but it is playable. Otherwise, this set would get five stars.

These Dice are NOT MAGIC Jul 09, 2008 No matter how many times I roll these dice, even when I roll a natural 20, my hated office mate Winston WILL NOT DISINTEGRATE.
Still, I did manage to bruise his foot with the D4, so it's not a total loss.
