 Nice first set of dice Aug 06, 2010
This is the first set of dice that I got, and they are nice. Could be a wee bit heavier, and the paint on the D20 is a bit lighter, making it harder to read, but still good.

The following review will be the same for all the differing colors of ChesseX Polyhedral 7-Die Translucent Dice Set.
ChesseX offers eleven (11) different colors of 7-die Polyhedral sets, one of the best selections of gamer dice offered and excellent for each player to have their own distinctive set. I prefer the green, but have a blue set as well. But with so many choices it is easy to pick your favorite or an easy compromise.
I prefer the translucent to solid color die mainly because there is something bout the slightly luminous background of the translucent plastic that sets off the black numbers better, making them easier to read and providing a more pleasant gaming experience.
Accuracy on random number generation is important. I got my undergraduate statistics students to test the ChesseX die with 1,000 throws, and the quality report came back: EXCELLENT. These are die that throw random numbers from their possibility set.
The slightly rounded edges make for clean throws and firm resting stops, although the inherent composition of the plastic makes them bounce pretty easily off a Formica table. These die work better on cloth surfaces.

Ordered four sets of these dice and none of them had a misprint or was strangely shaped. Numbers were easy to read too.

Dice are dice pure and simple but color combinations are pure personal choice. This combination is easily readable and ascetically pleasing to me.
My only complaint is not with the dice but the amount of dice, I would love to find a larger set combination of d20 dice. This set contains 1 each, d20-percentile set(2d10)-d12-d8-d6-d4. As an avid d20 gamer, mainly DnD, I would like to find a set containing 2d20, percentile set(2d10), 2d12, 2d10 separate from percentile, 2d8, 6d6, 4d4, and shipping with a appropriate size dice bag with a locking slider on pull cord.

These dice are just cool looking with their translucency. Proper lighting gives them a neat shadow. Plus my set seem to roll pretty well so yours might too.
