better than New Moon Jul 29, 2010 This was definitely an improvement over the last book (New Moon), at least something happens in this one. Again the romance stuff is much too overwrought, but I'm sure Stephenie Meyer knows her fans and is giving them exactly what they want. But what about me? Here's what I would like to see for the fourth book. No more love triangles- in fact let's give up the romance all together, that horse has been beaten for three books now. Get it over with and have Edward and Bella marry. Then have Edward turn Bella into a vampire. We know that Bella is immune to some of the other vampires special powers (Edward, Jane) so she's got to have some of her own special vampire powers too, right? Then it's time for Meyer to have the Cullens face off against the Volturi for Vampiric domination of the world. Then Bella can kick some butt, instead of whining all the time. Somehow Jacob would have to involved because he's the best character in the series, but he's totally gotten over Bella. And it probably wouldn't hurt to throw in some zombies- just because.
I wonder how close I am to the plot of Breaking Dawn...
Great read!!! Jul 28, 2010 I am not a fan of vampires and werewolves, but after months of "encouragment" to read this series, I love this story. This is the 3rd in the series and I can't wait to read the 4th breaking dawn.
eclipse Jul 27, 2010 book in excellent condition but took way too long to receive. I could have found locally
Hugely disappointed in this one Jul 25, 2010 I loved Twilight. I fell in love with Edward right along with Bella, fell in love with the whole cast of characters. Through New Moon, I found myself rooting for Jacob, a feeling that only expanded as I read this book. Bella and Edward weren't even likable characters in this one, and they were very clearly actors at the mercy of Stephanie's plot. Their actions weren't believable, they were mere puppets, doing as she told them to do, and it was really obvious. None of their behavior felt real to me, and the characters felt like cardboard cut-outs. Jacob was the most well rounded character in this one and at the end of this book, I find myself believing more in the Bella's love for Jacob than I do in her love for Edward. The action was good, it kept me hooked in, but in the end, I find myself feeling really let down by this book. I wanted to love Bella's decision to choose Edward, because I loved him in Twilight and I wanted to love him through New Moon and now this one, but I simply found it unbelievable.
Mystery, Love & Action, it's All Here Jul 23, 2010 In this, the third installment of the Twilight Saga, Bella is faced with a vampire who wants revenge on her for the death of her partner. She and Edward must fight or be killed. In this race against time to find an army to fight, help may come from an unsuspected source. Meyer is a great author and pulls it off again. Once I started reading I couldn't stop. This book is for anyone who likes a great mystery, love story, or action story.
